Marketing and Communication Strategy for The Alliance of Sector Skills Councils
We were appointed by the Alliance to develop a marketing and communications strategy as the UK and Scottish skills landscape was complicated with many stakeholder organisations; and the management of messages and audiences was proving a challenge.
Following internal and external stakeholder consultations, we developed a strategy to help the Alliance rationalise and manage the communications process; identifying different audience groups, their communications needs, key messages and the tools required to help achieve those needs.
We also undertook a marketing secondment for six months to help with the implementation of the various initiatives, which included:
Establishing the look and feel of all its design material, such as leaflets and brochures
Helping create its tone of voice and positioning
Ensuring consistency across every single one of its communication channels
The development of a full image strategy and creation of a comprehensive photographic library
We designed and produced a wide range of marketing materials ranging from stationery and templates; corporate documents including annual reviews and action plans; exhibition stands; e-newsletters; advertising and the Alliance corporate website.
We worked with the Alliance on a national level, too. Following a consultation we developed a digital strategy for the Alliance at a UK and national level to use as the basis for the organisation’s new website. We also answered specific briefs required by offices in both England and Northern Ireland, such as exhibition materials, corporate brochures, event support, e-newsletter templates and advertising.
